- Loosen any outer layers of skin from each clove.
- Cut the top off of garlic exposing each clove.
- Lie the garlic on a parchment lined sheet tray with the cut top down, the exposed raw garlic cloves should be touching the tray.
- Bake in a 375 degree F oven for 20 minutes.
- Flip the garlic cloves over so the exposed clove side is facing upwards and continue to bake for another 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool enough so that the garlic is easy to handle.
- Peel away the remaining paper skin and pop the roasted cloves out. Use as needed.
Roasted garlic cloves will keep for up to a week when stored wrapped in the refrigerator.
To soften the cloves when you are ready to use them, pop them in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds.
Note regarding servings- There are, on average, 10 cloves of garlic in one heard of garlic. One clove is equal to one tbsp so 6 cloves would be 2 Tablespoons or one serving. Therefore, three heads of garlic should have 30 cloves equaling 5 servings.
