Instructions
Combine the diced apple, minced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, sage, and parsley in a small bowl.
Butterfly the chicken breasts to create a pocket for the stuffing and sprinkle with the salt.
Stuff each chicken breast with half of the apple mixture and secure each one closed with a couple of toothpicks.
Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Sear the chicken breast for 4-5 minutes per side, then remove from the pan.
Add the sliced cabbage to the pan, season with salt and pepper and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until it begins to wilt.
Add the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar to the pan and mix well.
Place the chicken breasts on top of the cabbage, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until most of the chicken broth has evaporated and the chicken is cooked through.
Recipe Notes
Notes: You can increase the apple to 1 cup which will equal ½ a fruit serving, but the mixture will not fit inside the chicken - in this case you can just cook the filling alongside the chicken in the pan if you choose.

Hi- I’m assuming the “chicken broth” in step 7 is actually the “water” in the recipe’s ingredients list. Correct? I would imaging they would be interchangeable depending on taste.
Apologies! Rated the wrong recipe! Hopefully you can remove that single star. 🙁
