Ingredients
- 7 oz 95% ground beef (200g per 7oz)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 medium portobello mushroom caps approx 3.5 oz each cap
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced white onion
- 2 large lettuce leaves
- 2 tsp dijon mustard

Instructions
- Heat a small pan over medium-high heat. Spray with a bit of non-stick cooking spray and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Divide into two equal portions and shape into patties.
- Remove the gills from the portobello mushroom caps.
- Preheat BBQ grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Spray grates with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side (for medium-well) and the portobello mushroom caps for about 4 minutes on each side, until slightly softened.
- Top each burger with the sautéed onions, a lettuce leaf, and 1 tsp Dijon mustard. Serve on a mushroom cap.
