Ingredients
Onion Rings:
  • 1 onion
  • 3sprays coconut oil
  • 2 grisinicrushed
  • 2tsp paprika
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp onion powder
  • 1tsp garlic powder
  • 2tbsp egg white
  • 1/4cup unsweetened almond milk
Ketchup:
  • 1/2cup tomato paste
  • 1/4cup water
  • 2tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/2scoop stevia extract powder
  • 1/4tsp onion powder
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 1/8tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8tsp allspice
Pickled Jalapeno Peppers
  • 3/4cup water
  • 3/4cup white vinegar
  • 1/2scoop stevia extract powder
  • 1tbsp salt
  • 1clove garlic
  • 1/2tsp oregano
  • 10 jalapenossliced in rings
Basil Burger:
  • 7oz ground beef
  • 4tsp coconut aminos
  • 1tsp dried basilor 2 fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1/4tsp garlic salt
  • 1/8tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
Onion Rings:
  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a sheet tray with parchment.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl and the egg white and almond milk together in a separate bowl.
  3. Slice the onion to make rings about 3/4 of an inch wide. Separate the rings so they are no longer intertwined.
  4. Dip each ring into the wet mixture and then into the dry. Tap off excess coating and then lay on sheet tray. Repeat until you have dipped all rings.
  5. Spray the rings on the tray with coconut oil then place in the oven to bake for about 10 minutes. Flip and bake for 5 more minutes to make extra crispy.
Ketchup:
  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl. Store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Pickled Jalapenos:
  1. Combine water, vinegar, stevia extract, salt, garlic, and oregano in a small saucepan and boil.
  2. Add jalapenos and turn off the heat. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Cover and store in the fridge overnight.
Burger:
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well with your hands.
  2. Form 4 small burger patties.
  3. Grill for about 3 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
Recipe Notes

Onion Rings: – If not using grissini, the onion rings will be more like spiced, baked onions rather than crispy rings but still delicious! Ketchup: – This recipe makes about 3/4 a cup of ketchup or 12, one tablespoon servings. Each serving is 10 calories. Pickled Jalapenos: – This recipe makes about 10 servings with each serving being 6 calories. Assembly: -Place burger on a plate, then top with one tablespoon ketchup, onion rings and pickled jalapenos. Serve while the burger is warm.
