P2 hCG Diet Protein Veggie Recipe | Southern Cabbage and Ground Beef | SP

Ingredients
  • 3cups cabbagecut in one inch strips
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 1/8tsp black pepper
  • 1 3/4cups beef brothSP: use water instead
  • 7ounces ground beef
  • 1tbsp chopped onion
  • 2tsp garlicminced
  • 1/2tsp cumin
  • 1/2tsp oregano
  • 1tbsp green onionsminced, SP: no garnish
Instructions
  1. Add cabbage, salt, pepper and 5/6 beef broth to a large pot. Toss together.
  2. Boil over medium heat then reduce heat to a simmer. Simmer for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. When cabbage is tender, remove from heat and set aside
  4. Add rest of the beef broth to large saucepan and heat over medium.
  5. Add onions and garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add ground beef abe cook, breaking up the beef as it cooks. Cook until the beef begins to brown.
  7. Add oregano to the pan, stir and cook for one minute,
  8. Add the cabbage and toss together with the beef. Cook for another two minutes then transfer to two bowls.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions.
