Phase 2 hCG Diet Recipe | Portobello Beef Burger | AP + SP
  • 7oz 95% ground beef(200g per 7oz)
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 1/2tsp pepper
  • 1/4tsp garlic powder
  • 1tsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 medium portobello mushroom capsapprox 3.5 oz each cap
  • 1/4cup thinly sliced white onion
  • 2 large lettuce leaves
  • 2tsp dijon mustard
SP option:
  • more lettuce leavessubsitute for the mushroom bun
  1. Heat a small pan over medium-high heat. Spray with a bit of non-stick cooking spray and sauté the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  3. Divide into two equal portions and shape into patties.
  4. Remove the gills from the portobello mushroom caps.
  5. Preheat BBQ grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Spray grates with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Cook the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side (for medium-well) and the portobello mushroom caps for about 4 minutes on each side, until slightly softened.
  7. Top each burger with the sautéed onions, a lettuce leaf, and 1 tsp Dijon mustard. Serve on a mushroom cap.
