hCG Diet Phase 2 Cottage Cheese Recipe | Chard Gratin – SP
  • 1tsp garlic
  • 1tsp chives
  • 1tsp parsley
  • 1/8tsp nutmeg
  • 1cup chicken brothSP Option: use water instead
  • 7oz cottage cheese
  • 2tbsp onionminced
  • 6cups Swiss chardchopped (see directions)
  • 1/4tsp salt
  • 1/8tsp ground black pepper
  1. Separate leaves and stems from Swiss chard leaves and chop both into one-inch pieces.
  2. In a small bowl, combine garlic, chives, parsley and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Place 1/4 cup of broth in a large sauté pan along with swiss chard stems. Cover and steam for about 8 minutes.
  4. Add chard leaves to the pan, cover again and let wilt for one minute. Turn off heat.
  5. Bring remaining broth and onion to a boil in a small saucepan. Turn off heat and stir in cottage cheese.
  6. Pour cottage cheese mix over cooked chard and toss together. Pour the mix into a 12-inch oval gratin pan or 2 qt baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the spice mix over the top of the gratin and bake in a 400 degree F oven for 20 minutes. The mix should be bubbling. Serve hot.
